Summer Groundbreakings & Grand Openings

It’s been an exciting and busy summer for Skillman so far, and we’re only halfway through the season. In case you missed them, here are some of the projects we’ve been privileged to kick off and conclude in the past few months.

New senior living community from CarDon & Associates (Plainfield, IN) The community will offer comfortable, inviting accommodations and state-of-the-art services for assisted living, long-term care, memory care and rehabilitation to Plainfield and the surrounding areas.

New academic addition at Ivy Tech Bloomington (Bloomington, IN) This addition to the existing building, which was also built by Skillman, will provide the growing student population much needed space for classrooms, computer labs, simulation labs and science labs as well as an enhanced student commons and flexible auditorium.

New Aquatic Center for the City of Greenwood (Greenwood, IN) The project plan, which is focused on bringing family entertainment and wellness to the city’s residents, features a lazy river, a lap pool and a play area for kids.

New campus for Ivy Tech Community College (Anderson, IN) To increase capacity in the wake of Ivy Tech’s significant enrollment growth and to serve as a resource to the Anderson community, the new campus will include classrooms, labs, a student commons, library, wellness center and administrative offices.

Grand opening at Aspen Trace (Greenwood, IN) The new family-first senior living community from CarDon & Associates offers skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care and rehabilitation facilities.

Addition/renovation at Buchanan Middle School and Ottawa Elementary School (Buchanan, MI) The remodel includes new classroom additions, an improved campus entrance and a kindergarten wing at Ottawa. The projects’ improved technology and modern learning environments will enhance the school’s educational opportunities for students.
