  • General Estimator (Indianapolis, IN)

    The Skillman Corporation is seeking a General Estimator in our Indianapolis Office. Primary responsibilities include preparing quantitative surveys and pricing; working with suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers on pricing and product information; evaluating completed estimates with project teams; and performing value engineering and constructability reviews.

    Candidates must have:

    • 5+ years of field experience        
    • 1+ years self-performing estimating experience
    • 1+ years of GC hard-bid experience
    • 1+ years of experience in pre-construction planning/budgeting 

    Candidates must also:

    • Have excellent communication skills
    • Be coachable
    • Be a self-motivated, team player
    • Require minimal direction (once trained)
    • Have a strong work ethic
    • Be able to estimate a project at various design levels. Must be able to fill in the blanks when design information is incomplete.
    • Have proficiency in MS Office
    • Live in or around the Indianapolis area

    Preferred, but not required:

    • On-Screen Takeoff & Sage Estimating experience

    The Skillman Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Estimator in our Indianapolis Office. Primary responsibilities include preparing quantitative surveys and pricing for mechanical systems; working with suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers on pricing and product information; evaluating completed estimates with project teams; and performing value engineering and constructability reviews.

    Candidates must have:

    • 5+ years of field experience
    • 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience
    • 2+ years of pre-construction planning/budgeting experience
